Teacups, Taman Anggrek Mall

After my dinner at Kenny Rogers Roaster, I passed by this Teacups shop. It's a small shop located on the 4th floor in Taman Anggrek mall and looks pretty catchy with the light green color of chairs.
Loose Teas display.
Next time, I will try to smell the fragrant loose teas.

In the menu, there are many kind of series like classic, fresh lime, sea foam, milk tea, ice blended and coffee. I was quite intrigued by the sea foam series and gave it a try.

Roasted Tie Quan Yin Oolong with foam Rose Tea with foam - Rp. 21.000

The tea tasted fresh and got nice aroma but as for the sea foam,  I personally prefer not to have the salty foam  on the top of it. Next time, I will try something else. Maybe the classic and fresh lime.

New Orleans' Cuisine at B.A.T.S, Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta

It had been so many years since the last time I was at this New York underground style bar and restaurant named B.A.T.S. in Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. I used to listen to the live band there with my friends but I had never dined there until last night.

During this November, B.A.T.S. is promoting "Cajun and Creole" to savor the New Orleans - Southern American cuisine.

Seafood Gumbo - Rp. 90.000
Rich and spicy fresh seafood broth with vegetables and cajun spice. Want to know how to cook Gumbo? Click here.

Sausage and Chicken Jambalaya - Rp. 90.000
Although this traditional Louisiana rice cooked with tomato sausage, chicken and seasonal vegetables did not taste the same like the one I ate in Louisiana during my visit last July, but for Indonesian taste bud, this dish tasted really good.

Blackened Tuna with Dirty Rice - Rp. 165.000
Spice-coated tuna pan-seared served with Louisiana Cajun Rice was stellar. The blackened tuna might not look appealing but seriously, it was so delicious.

Cajun Grill Chicken - Rp. 130.000
Grilled boneless half corn-fed chicken marinated in Cajun spice served with grilled vegetables and roasted sweet potato was decent. I found myself to enjoy eating the roasted sweet potato.

Creole Shrimp - Rp. 195.000
The grilled king prawn with the mango-Creole sauce tasted less impressive than the appearance.

Beside trying the "Cajun and Creole" promotion, I also tried the pizza and desserts from regular menu.

B.A.T.S Pizza - Rp. 190.000
Look how big this pizza is if it is compared to a blackberry! The diameter of this pizza is 48 cm (17 inch). I really liked that the chef put so many toppings on it, yummy! The toppings were feta cheese, beef pepperoni, bell peppers, anchovies, mussels, mushrooms, artichokes, fresh tomatoes, peppered pork ham, onions, and olives.

New York Cheesecake - Rp. 55.000
This New York cheesecake tasted so scrumptious especially with fresh blueberry and strawberry sauce.

Baked Chocolate Brownies - Rp. 55.000
One word for this brownies: SUPER!!!

Pear and Bourbon Charlotte - Rp. 55.000
Nice presentation but it did not suit my liking.
