Pizza e Birra, Central Park Mall

Last Sunday, my friend asked me to accompany him for dinner. He was interested to try Pizza E Birra promotion where the customers can create their own pizza.  So, we went to the closest Pizza E Birra from my place which is in Central Park Mall.

First, my friend ordered flavored beer. Based on the recommendation from the waiter, he chose Lychee flavor but later on, the waiter told him that they run out of  the Lychee flavor thus my friend asked for Mojito flavor. He was quite surprised that it tasted really good.

Cuban Mojito Flavored Beer - Rp. 50.000

Frozen Lemonade - Rp. 45.000
The balance of sweet and sourness from the lemonade was refreshing.

El Diablo Chicken Wings - Rp. 49.000 (regular cone)
The chicken wings were tender and soft. It was pretty spicy for me.

Create your own pizza - Rp. 59.000
(incld. dough, based sauce and cheese)
My friend and I chose thin crust, pesto for the sauce since it's our favorite sauce and pepperoni for the topping. A few minutes after we ordered, the waiter came back to tell us that the pesto sauce run out so we had to change to another sauce. My friend told that the waiter that he wanted to change the order to other food but the waiter told him that since the order was already put in the computer system so it couldn't be changed to something else, we only could change the sauce. This statement already got to the nerve of my friend. He said if the order couldn't be changed, he demanded to see the manager. Later on, the waiter informed us that the pizza with the pesto will be ready soon. I actually wondered how they got the pesto sauce so suddenly? Anyway, we were happy when the pizza arrived on our table. It was pretty good with the crispy thin crust although the pesto sauce tasted just mild.

Tontoki at MidPlaza Jakarta

I heard so many good reviews of this new Japanese restaurant specializing in pork dishes named Tontoki at the basement in MidPlaza Building, Central Jakarta so I went there together with my friends last week.

The restaurant has a unique exterior of the Japanese's house village in Edo period which is small, dark and low ceiling. When I got there, the restaurant was packed. Luckily my friend already made a reservation but still we were seated at the "outside" area.  Since one of my friends is a smoker, he was quite happy that there's no restriction to smoke in this restaurant.

Omori Hakusai Salad - Rp. 48.000
I like this fresh salad with Anchovy but my friends didn't really like it because it was too sour for their taste buds.

Yaki Gyoza - Rp. 48.000
Ordinary Japanese dumpling with pork filling.

Tontoki Don - Rp. 42.000
The pork belly was pretty good marinated and tender.

Hone Tsuki BBQ - Rp. 68.000
We asked the waiter to cut this BBQ Pork Ribs into pieces. When the waiter got difficulties to cut it, we knew that the ribs were not that tender thus it's more about the sweet sour peppery sauce that we could enjoy of this dish.

Hire Katsu - Rp. 68.000
My friend ordered this deep fried Pork tenderloin cutlet based on people's recommendation who had tried this dish  but I guess our expectation was too high.

Fresh Orange Hai - Rp. 48.000
Hot Ocha - Rp. 15.000 (refill)
