Shang Hai Mian Dian Huang, Food Court at Mall Metropolis, Hong Kong

Last week, I had an outing with my colleagues in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. On the first day when we arrived in Hong Kong, we had our lunch at a food court in Mall Metropolis which located in Hung Hom area. The choices of food selection was quite good. Besides local food, there were also some franchise fast food chains such as Pepper Lunch and Yoshinoya.

I was not feeling very well and had no appetite at all on that day because of lack of sleep and also the dizzy trip from Victoria Peak. My colleague bought a plate of fried rice at this Shang Hai Mian Dian Huang stall.

Shihlin XXL Crispy Chicken

I joined the Go-Pay promo for the XXL Crispy Chicken at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks in Central Park Mall last week.

The very long queue. It started in the basement parking lot.

The marinated boneless chicken breast dipped in flour and fried.

Golden crispy.

Cut with a scissor and sprinkled with oriental BBQ or Seaweed spices.

It's very crunchy and tender.

Was it worth it to stand 1 hour 20 minutes for getting Rp. 1.000 (0.06 US cents) instead of paying Rp. 42.000 (USD 2.76) for this XXL Crispy Chicken Go-Pay promo? Yes, if there's nothing really to do ;)
Current currency:
1 USD = Rp. 15.225

P.S.: The promo will end on 14 October 2018.

Hidangan Baru Restaurant

My friend invited me to eat at his favorite Padang food at Hidangan Baru restaurant which located in Gajah Mada street, Central Jakarta. I have never heard about this restaurant before so I was quite excited to try it.

The array of Padang food.

Not as much as in the other Padang restaurants.

We chose what we want to eat and it was delivered to our table:
Jengkol - Rp. 25.000
Bilis - Rp. 35.000
Keripik Kentang - Rp. 25.000
Rendang - Rp. 22.000/ piece
Fried chicken - Rp. 23.000/ piece
White rice - Rp. 8.000
Vegetable - Rp. 15.000
Current currency:
1 USD = Rp. 15.100

Overall, the food tasted very good but the spices was pretty mild. As for the prices, it's more expensive compared to the Padang restaurants that I usually go.
