Domino's Pizza - Central Park Jakarta

Founded in 1960, Domino's Pizza is recognized as the world leader in pizza delivery and also second-largest pizza chain in the United States. I'm not so sure why after almost 50 years later (in 2008), they finally just opened in Indonesia (note: Pizza Hut opened their first restaurant in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1984).

The pizza(s) is directly made as soon as there's an order.

The interior inside

My colleagues and I tried the "Big Deal 1"

BIG DEAL 1 - Rp. 150.000 (included tax)

1 medium Beef Pepperoni Feast - Rp. 55.000
Tomato sauce, beef pepperoni, mozzarella cheese
1 Medium American Classic Cheeseburger - Rp. 65.000
Tomatoes sauce, onions, bacon, ground beef, 3 cheeses - American, Provolone and Cheddar.
I really like this pizza. A great combination taste of cheeseburger with pizza.

Beef Lasagna - Rp. 28.000

Chocolate Lava - Rp. 16.000/pc.

"Saus sambal" - Chili sauce
Instead of tomato ketchup, chili sauce is a must sauce for most Indonesian whenever they eat.

  2. I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit to Domino's dear Selba. I can't say I have ever entertained the notion myself. You see, don't tell anyone but, I don't care for pizza all that much:)

Wonderful review as usual. Hope all is well in your part of the world:) Louise

  8. Domino really comes a bit late to Indo ;). Are you sure that Pizza Hut came to Jakarta in 1984. I remember that I went to the opening of first pizza hut when I was maybe 6 or 7, and it was in the 90's...or maybe I was simply too young to remember ;)?

  9. CG: Definitely sure that Pizza Hut opened in 1984 - already cross-checked :)

I still remember I used to buy pizza hut in slices in the 80s and it cost only about Rp. 1.000 per-slice!!! hehehe

  12. Those pics look great, but they also gave me nightmares. I once worked at Domino's during my summer holidays in my college days. Their food and service are both good, but the working conditions there were terrible (not to mention illegal).

  13. MM: Oh.. wow! I didn't know that you worked at Domino's before :) It's quite surprising that even in the US, the working conditions can be seriously bad especially for a very well-known fast food place.
