Ikkudo Ichi Ramen, PIK


Having a bowl ramen at Ikkudo Ichi, was not in our plan at all when we visited Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK). But then, since someone in our group was so hungry thus we decided to go there.


Beside soy sauce, chili sauce, chili powder, they provide also fresh garlic.

All the ramens here are served with chicken or pork chasiu, spring onions, mushrooms, sesame seed, and soft-boiled egg.

Ikkudo's Buta Kara - Rp. 41.800

My choice was this signature pork ramen. Love the fine and tender pork chasiu with the thick savory garlicky broth. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the entire bowl because I was still full of bubble tea from the Lab.

Paradise Inn - Puri Indah Mall


Last month, Paradise Inn just opened a new branch in Puri Indah Mall. The contemporary orient Chinese decor of the restaurant is exactly the same as their restaurant in Plaza Indonesia. And again, as my previous food tasting experienced at their other restaurant, I surely enjoyed the delicious food in this new restaurant.

DapuRaya, Pasaraya Blok M


Dapuraya is a food court in the basement of Pasaraya Blok M, in South Jakarta. There are more than 50 food vendors serving wide variety of  Indonesian food - from Sumatra to Papua. 


From 23 January until 31 January 2013, Dapuraya is having a "Makanan Enak-Enak" festival (note: it means "Delicious Food") bringing favorite food from six cities in Indonesia.

Here below are some of the favorite food and drinks:

Loenpia Mataram from Semarang, Central Java.
Indonesian spring rolls.

Burung Dara Goreng SBTB from Malioboro, Yogyakarta.
Fried quail with rice and chili. It's delicious!

Indah Jaya Minang


I had a lunch together with Cindy, Jenz and Sopi at Indah Jaya Minang. The location of this restaurant that served Padang Food is in Alam Sutera. It was pretty crowded during the lunch time. I like the food here because it is mild spicy.

Nothing quite beats the array of food on a Padang restaurant's table, right? ;)

Seven Seas - Traditional Jamu


Jenz, Cindy and I went to a store that sells Jamu - Indonesian herbal drinks. It is located exactly beside Ichi no Hachi Fusion Resto in Alam Sutera.

Well, I didn't order anything but Cindy ordered
Wedang Jahe - Rp. 10.000
made with ginger, sugar and hot water.

and Jenz ordered
Jamu  Puting Beliung - Rp. 10.000
to prevent herself from catching cold because of the rainy season.



Besides Jamu drinks, there are also other forms of Jamu like herbs, powder, capsules and pills.

Sushi Class at Ichi no Hachi Fusion Resto

Do you know that Umaku Japanese Resto in Alam Sutera already closed down and just changed to 108 Ichi no Hachi Fusion Resto?

Last Saturday, I was invited together with several bloggers to join their "Fusion Sushi Making Class with Chef Mulyana".

The ingredients.

Nigiri Salmon Sushi
Prep time: 15 minutes
Makes: 2 pcs.
Ingredients: Fresh salmon 10 gr, sushi rice 17 gr and wasabi.


To make the Nigiri Salmon sushi into fusion:  add mayonnaise and tobiko on the top of salmon then torch it with a cooking torch.

Fried Kappa Maki
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Makes: 8 pcs.
Ingredients: Japanese cucumber 10 gr, sushi rice 60 gr, nori 1/2 layer, frying batter.

Original Kappa Maki.

The fusion version of Kappa Maki is deep frying with batter.

Fusion Fried Kappa Maki.

Mango Salmon Roll
Prep time: 15 minutes
Makes: 8 pcs.
Ingredients: Nori 1/2 layer, sushi rice 90 gr, fresh salmon 5 gr, mango 30 gr, cheese 5 gr.

If you are interested to join a sushi class at Ichi no Hachi, just give them a call. A minimum of four people required per class. You will learn three types of sushi and the fee is Rp. 200.000 per person.
