Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake, Central Park Mall

Lately, Japanese cheesecake become a hype in Jakarta. Last Saturday, there's a new outlet of Uncle Tetsu Shop opened in Central Park Mall. If I'm not mistaken, almost 1,000 people was in the long line on that opening day since early morning because of the promotion - Rp. 8.000 per cake (normal price is Rp. 80.000 per cake). During promotion period, each customer only can buy 1 cake.

There is still a promotion Rp. 50.000 per cake until 23 April 2017. So yesterday, I also joined the long line to try this famous Uncle Tetsu Japanese cheesecake although I'm actually not a souffle cheesecake fan because I prefer American or European cheesecake.

The open kitchen.

Watching how the cheesecakes are being prepared.

The final of mixing the cheesecake batter is using the hand.

Fresh from the oven.

Stamping the "Uncle Tetsu" on the top of the Cheesecakes.

It tasted more milky than cheesy.
The texture is very fluffy, like eating cotton :)
Current currency:
1 USD = Rp. 13.292

Location:
Uncle Tetsu Shop
Central Park Mall, Lower Ground - LG 136
Jl. Jend. S. Parman
West Jakarta

Nasi Campur "Atek", PIK

After swimming at PIK Waterbom together with my colleagues, we were so hungry. One of my colleagues suggested to have lunch at the famous "Atek" restaurant which located not too far from the PIK Waterbom. This small restaurant is the branch from Duta Mas.

Frankly speaking, if I have to compare the "Nasi Campur" to other places that also served it, the taste is just OK, nothing really to shout about it and I really do think it's over priced.

Lomie "Amen" Pinangsia

I hardly go to Pinangsia area but then my ex-colleague  recommended a small restaurant which is famous for Lo Mie - Chinese noodle originally from Fujian, China, named Lomie "Amen" Pinangsia. According to my ex-colleague, this place has been selling Lomie for more than 40 years.

This man is the owner which I believe his name is "Amen" is already in his 80s.
It's amazing that he still works and takes care of his restaurant.

I arrived around 1 pm and guess what? The pork meat was almost sold out. If I'm not mistaken, they are preparing 20 kg pork (meat, liver and gizzard)  per day for the Lomie.

A sweet savory dish.
