[an.nyeong] Korean Food Cafe

Last Tuesday afternoon, I was craving for Tokpokki - Korean soft rice cake with fish cake and sweet red chili sauce. Thus, I stopped by first at [an.nyeong] Korean Food Cafe before heading home. 

When I entered this Korean Food Cafe, there was no customer at all. While ordering and waiting for a box of Tokpokki, I had a little chit chat with the cashier. I found out that this place is usually full with customers in the evening and the owner is a Korean so all the ingredients are imported from Korea.

Original Tokpokki - Rp. 30.000

The soft rice cake was nicely chewy as my liking but the sauce was too spicy and there were only two thin slices of fish cake inside the Tokpokki. Anyway, the garnish on the top of it looked nice :)

Pecel (East Javanese vegetable salad)

In front of my work place, there's a lady selling Pecel every day around lunch time. She brought the ingredients of Pecel in a woven bamboo basket and carried it on her back.

Pecel is also Indonesian traditional vegetables salad like Gado - gado and Lotek. The ingredients of the peanut sauce is a bit different and usually is already done prepared, not like gado-gado or lotek which is made directly upon order.

This how the lady prepare Pecel:

White rice with fried tofu and fried tempe (soybean cake).

Add the boiled vegetables.

Pour the peanut sauce on the top.

The Pecel is ready and don't forget to eat it with the yellow chips :)

Zenbu House of Mozaru at Central Park Mall

 

Zenbu - House of Mozaru is always packed. Good thing that last week, my friend and I didn't have to wait too long to get a table.

Zenbu Mozaru - Rp. 75.000 (regular size)

A good blended fusion dish of rice and katsu/seafood covered with mozarella cheese

There are choices of

Sauce: Tomato, Butter or Dynamite

Rice: Butter rice, Curry rice

Toppings: Mushroom, Chicken, Beef, Burger, Seafood, Gindara, Salmon, Zenbu, Unagi

My choice was the Curry rice with butter sauce and Zenbu as the topping.

Mozarella Cheese

Beef Teppanyaki - Rp. 69.000

 A Hibachi style of teppanyaki. My friend chose black pepper for the sauce. It's good although a bit too salty if eaten without rice.

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, Central Park Mall

My friend and I had brunch at the 3rd outlet of Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Central Park Mall.

The outlet is small but cozy.

Chinese Tea - Rp. 35.000 (refill)

My friend and I chose Oolong Tea.

Salted Vegetables - Rp. 18.000 (small size)

Pork Ribs Soup - Rp. 88.000 (Large size)

The soup was flavorful and peppery according to my taste bud but my friend said it wasn't peppery enough.

Love the meaty tender ribs.

Mee Sua - Rp. 15.000

I had Mee Sua to accompany the ribs. My friend preferred rice.

Xiao Bai Cai - Rp. 30.000 (Small size)

Crunchy Chinese cabbage.

Almond Pudding - Rp. 28.000

I was quite disappointed with this dessert because it was mostly only crushed ice topped with little almond pudding, lychee, tangerine and jelly. Totally different than the one that I ate at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Mangga Besar.
