Saboga Raja Tahu Baso

Last Thursday, I was invited for Saboga Raja Tahu Baso food bloggers gathering, organized by Disdus

Saboga Raja Tahu Baso means literally Saboga, the King of Tofu Meatball, but then the meaning Tahu Baso in West Java is actually referring to stuffing tofu with a mixture of wahoo fish paste (same ingredients as siomay/ steamed fish dumpling).

It's established in 1986 in Bandung, West Java. First, they only were selling their products in the markets and food stores. Then, in 2003, they started to open their own stores at the malls. So far, there are already 22 branches in Bandung, Jakarta, Tangerang, Semarang, Pekanbaru, Makasar and Jayapura.

The fried food assortment.

Baso (Indonesian beef meat balls)

Siomay assortment (steamed fish cakes)

Otak - otak
Grilled fish cake in banana leaves with chili peanut sauce.

Batagor Tahu (Fried tofu with a layer of fish cake)
I like this batagor tahu, it's soft but firm and savory.

I ordered:
Saboga Komplit - Rp. 28.000
Siomay Mie, Shrimp Ball, Pangsit Isi, Baso Bakwan, Baso Gepeng, Noodle.
It tasted ordinary comfortable.

For dessert, I tried:
Strawberry and Mango puddings.
What made the puddings difference are only the color and the flavor essence.
Current currency:
1 USD = Rp. 9.600
