A few weeks ago, I met my former teacher. We haven't met for such a long time. The last time, I was in her class, it's 16 years ago! Whoaaa... Couldn't believe how the time flies so fast!
My former teacher brought me to this Chinese restaurant named Restoran Rendevouz, a quite popular restaurant in the old days that located in the Central of Jakarta.
We ordered their main famous dishes:
Lumpia Udang (Shrimp rolls) Rp. 55.000
A wonderful tasty dish of fried shrimp rolls, crispy on the outside and soft yet firm on the inside. Served with the sweet sour dipping sauce.
Bakmi Ham (Fried Noodles with ham) Rp. 37.500
The fried noodles came with fried ham, chunk of meat, fried eggs and vegetables. It's delicious and full of flavor.
Es Pala (Nutmeg ice) Rp. 9.000
The Nutmeg ice is actually sweet pickled nutmeg served with crushed ice and syrup. It's a refreshing drink, tasted sweet and sour plus added with the crunchiness texture of the nutmeg.
I really enjoyed this reunion lunch with my former teacher. We definitely managed to catch up stories from each others and had some good laughs :)
