It has been quite awhile since the last time I went to Cafe Batavia. It's so nice to be back again to this classy colonial building restaurant.

Since I didn't have my breakfast, thus I had breakfast first then continued with lunch. As in the old days, the food in Cafe Batavia has not disappointed me :)
The breakfast:
Eggs Benedict - Rp. 89.000
Two poached eggs, a thick slice of ham and asparagus on English muffins and covered with Hollandaise sauce.
Escargots a la Bourguignon - Rp. 79.000
Snails simmered in red wine and seared with garlic butter sauce and seasoned with crushed black pepper and herbs and served with baguette.
The Ridiculous Reuben Sandwich - Rp. 89.000
Corn beef with melted brie cheese and dressing. Served on rye bread with warm German potato salad, coleslaw and pickle.
Steak & Eggs - Rp. 99.000
Two eggs any style, with 120 gram tenderloin steak, served with baked beans, home fries and choices of toast
Chinese Tea Pu-Erh - Rp. 30.000
Btw, I managed to see the unique male restroom in this Cafe Batavia ;) Why is it unique? Well... Guess what? There is no wall hung urinals nor dividers! In fact, there's only a really big mirror on the wall where men can directly urinated in front of the big mirror (left picture).
