Crispy Duck at Santi Mandala, Bali

On the 2nd day in Bali, my colleagues and I had dinner at Santi Mandala Villa & Spa in Sukawati - Gianyar area.

The view from the restaurant to the little river.

I am not so sure whether Santi Mandala is famous for their Crispy Duck but for sure, the tour agency  that we were using, had ordered this menu for our dinner. I have no idea about the price because it's a special package menu.

Crispy Duck
It's delicious! The duck was crispy on the outside but tender in the inside.

For those who don't want or like to eat then they can order Fried Chicken.

Condiments:
White rice, 3 types of Balinese chili sauce, fried soy bean cake, tropical fruits.

I didn't really like the dressing of this salad. Not so sure what it was.

Bali Porkis

Bali Porkis tweeted and asked me whether I want to try their products. First, I wasn't aware at all what's their product. Then, later on, I found out that Bali Porkis is the first company from Bali that sells frozen grilled ribs in vacuum packaging. Bali Porkis products are sent directly from Bali to Jakarta, Bandung and Yogyakarta. I got curious and agreed to try their 2 products.

Bali Porkis frozen products.

It's very easy to serve it. It only need to be microwave  for 2 - 3 minutes at high level or steam  for 10 - 15 minutes.

Pork Rendang  (Rendang Babi)
weight: 500 grams, price: Rp. 85.000
The meat in the authentic Rendang dish is usually beef but Bali Porkis substitutes the beef with pork. This Pork Rendang is very delicious. The meat is so tender and moist. The Rendang gravy is not as spicy as the usual Beef Rendang at Padang restaurants which is perfect for me since I'm not really into hot spicy food.

Sweet Spicy Ribs (Iga Bakar Pedes Manis)
weight: 300 grams, price: Rp. 50.000
This sweet spicy ribs will be enjoyed by the ones who love to eat hot spicy food. Again, the meat is moist, tender and very well seasoned.

The other products are Black Pepper Ribs (Rp. 50.000), Honey Ribs (Rp. 55.000), and Rica-rica Pork (Rp. 55.000).

Current currency:
1 USD = Rp. 9.000
