Signora Pasta - Cirendeu

I would say that Signora Pasta is one of the best places for Italian pasta and pizza! Everything tasted delicious and wonderful with really affordable prices. Even the restaurant's atmosphere is so cozy and nice. My only complaint is why the location of this restaurant is so far from my place. It's located in Cirendeu, Tangerang, a city in the province of Banten. 

I went to Signora Pasta together with Cindy, Ana and Tiwi for an early dinner. We chose 5  pasta dishes.

Fettuccine Alla Diavola - Rp. 37.000

Fettuccine served with mushroom bell pepper with Signora's salsa. It's HOT!

Penne Al Salmone - Rp. 37.000

Pasta penne with smoked salmon in white cream. I really enjoyed it.

Gnocchi Al Pomorodo - Rp. 27.500

Home made pasta based on potatoes served with tomato sauce and parmigiano cheese. My favorite!!!

 Rigatoni Alla Boscaiola - Rp. 31.500

Rigatoni pasta with green peas, mushroom and smoked beef in white sauce and parmigiano cheese.

Spaghetti Al Gamberetti - Rp. 31.500

Spaghetti pasta served with shrimp and fresh tomato sauce. Beautiful, isn't it?

We also tried 

Scaloppine Di Pollo Al Funghi - Rp. 37.500

Fillet of chicken served with mushroom in white sauce. A lovely creamy dish!

Then, we also ordered pizza - it's a MUST!

Signora Pizza - Rp. 65.500

Pizza with tomato sauce, minced beef, smoked beef, bell pepper and mozzarella cheese.

And we ended our wonderful dinner with yummy desserts.

 Tiramisu - Rp. 21.500

The best home made tiramisu that I've eaten so far in Indonesia.

Coppe Di Gelato - Rp. 21.500

Home made ice cream - Strawberry and Avocado. So good!!!

Soup Restaurant, Plaza Indonesia

My ex-colleague suggested Soup Restaurant in Plaza Indonesia when we planned to meet for lunch. I couldn't be more happy because the food at Soup Restaurant is delicious especially the Samsui Ginger Chicken. 

Tim Tien Chee dengan Sup Ayam - Rp. 35.000

Double boiled Tien Chee with Chicken soup. This herbal soup is good but maybe a bit tasteless for some people.

Nasi Olive ala Teo Chew - Rp. 45.000

Teochew preserved black olives mixed with plain rice. The black olive is known to stimulate appetite and aids in the process of slimming

Ayam Jahe ala Samsui - Rp. 90.000 (small size)

The way to eat Samsui Ginger Chicken is by dipping the chicken into the fragrant ginger sauce and wrapping it with fresh crunchy lettuce.

Po Cai Saus Tiram dengan Enoki - Rp. 50.000

Po Cai stir fried with Enokitake mushroom in oyster sauce.

Steam San Yu Fillet - Rp. 70.000

Steamed Garoupa slices being steamed and topped with a special made sauce.

Bar B Q Plaza Jakarta

This afternoon, I had an enjoyable lunch together with Jenz, Cindy and Imel at Bar B Q Plaza. It is a franchise restaurant from Thailand and just opened last July at Puri Indah mall.

Bar B Q Plaza is a self-cooking Mongolian and Japanese style barbeque restaurant.

On the wall, there is the story in cartoon about the high quality of vegetables and meats being prepared for the customers so they can enjoy the barbeque at Bar B Q Plaza.

We chose Family Mixed (Beef & Pork) Set - Rp. 179.000

Set menu served together with sliced cabbage (free refill).

Meat: Beef and Pork

Fish, chicken, squid, carrot, asparagus, baby corn, udon.

Bok Choy - Rp. 8.000

Carrot - Rp. 8.000

Asparagus - Rp. 15.000

Chinese mushroom - Rp. 19.000

The way of cooking is a bit unique:

First, pour in chicken stock

Use lard or vegetable oil to grease the hot plate (for lard, leave the lard on the middle of the pan throughout and for vegetable oil, use sparingly). Then, place first the sliced cabbage and vegetables into the soup.

Grill meats and seafood on the hot plate. Do not overcook the meat and seafood to keep their tenderness.

Lastly, put in the Udon - only for 30 seconds.

During the cooking, we made sure that the soup is constantly topped up to prevent smoke and burning.

For the soup to be sweet, continue to add more vegetables. At the end of the cooking, the soup tasted so wonderful, full of the vegetables and meat's essence. Jenz and Cindy love to drink the soup :)

By the way, the best way to eat this barbeque, it is a must to dip the meat and seafood into the provided barbeque sauce because they are not marinated. To add a twist to the sauce, customers can mix it together with fresh cut chili, garlic and squeezed lime.

Mom and I had lunch at TeSaTe in Menteng area. This restaurant is a contemporary style restaurant that serves authentic Indonesia cuisine.
