Garuda Indonesia Meal

Whenever I fly with Garuda Indonesia airline, I kinda feel disappointed with the food that being served because of the taste could be tasteless or too pungent. 

Below, the food that were served during my trip to Bangkok and Bali.

Fish, potatoes and veggie.

The pastry was not baked properly, it's still a dough.

Chicken with noodles.

Fried noodles with beef.

Tukang Roti Pikulan

In the mornings, I usually will bump into this man who sells breads with a carrying pole. I can't imagine how much weight that he has to carry it  on his shoulder every day but for sure, it is quite heavy.

He is not only selling bread loaf and breads with filling (chocolate, coconut, peanut jam, cheese) but also some doughnuts.

A bread costed only Rp. 2.000 (14 cents USD).

It's tasted more like the old school homemade bread.

Tukang Kue Rangi (Sago cake)

I was passing this small alley on my way home and saw this man selling Kue Rangi. I seldom see this Kue Rangi seller so I couldn't resist to buy it.

Kue Rangi is made from tapioca starch or sago starch mixed with grated coconut.

Drizzled with brown sugar on the top.

It's crunchy but also chewy. Better to be eaten while it's warm because it becomes hard when it's cold.

K-Mart Grand Wijaya

There is a Korean supermarket that I love to visit in south of Jakarta, it is K-Mart. The reason why I love to visit it because besides there are so many Korean stuff, there is also a little corner that sell Korean food.

Korean Ice Cream

Fresh Seafood

Fresh Kimchi, There are so many varieties of Kimchi.

Korean Seasoning.

Korean sweet dessert and also fresh toppoki.

The little food corner in K-Mart.

Tok Poki - Rp. 35.000

So far, this is the best toppoki that I have eaten in Jakarta. 

Yes, it tasted even much better than those in Korean restaurants.

Yak Imandu  - Rp. 15.000

It's  corn dog. It tasted OK but I don't really like it. I prefer the American corn dog.

Odeng - Rp. 10.000 per piece

Fish cake

I like the chewy texture of this fish cake. It's good to dip it into the chili sauce.

Gimbab - Rp. 30.000

The gimbab tasted quite good. It has crunchy texture.

Tung Tung - Rp. 20.000

It's kinda similar to Indonesian risoles but I don't like it at all because it's tasteless.

Coolmyun - Rp. 35.000.

It's so refreshing eating this sweet sour Coolmyun.

Crispy Duck at Santi Mandala, Bali

On the 2nd day in Bali, my colleagues and I had dinner at Santi Mandala Villa & Spa in Sukawati - Gianyar area.

I am not so sure whether Santi Mandala is famous for their Crispy Duck but for sure, the tour agency  that we were using, had ordered this menu for our dinner. I have no idea about the price because it's a special package menu.

It's delicious! The duck was crispy on the outside but tender in the inside.

For those who don't want or like to eat then they can order Fried Chicken.

Condiments:

White rice, 3 types of Balinese chili sauce, fried soy bean cake, tropical fruits.

Savory  with some spices.

Balinese Salad

I didn't really like the dressing of this salad. Not so sure what it was.
