Han Gang Restaurant

My friend was craving for Korean food and since we were meeting in Taman Anggrek mall, I suggested the Han Gang which is the only Korean restaurant in that mall.

I didn't order because I just had my lunch, so my friend ordered the food as below:

Banchan - Appetizer - free of charge
kim chi, pickles, anchovies, salad, roll egg with seaweed

Maeun Teokpoki - Rp. 38.000
Hot Spicy Korean Rice Cake

D Yache Bibimbab - Rp. 39.000
Warm rice topped with egg, namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables), gochujang (chili pepper paste) and sliced beef.

The way to eat Bibimbap, just mix everything in the bowl :D

Phat Bing Su - Rp. 35.000
Shaved ice with ice cream and fruits (strawberry, kiwi, melon)

5% service charge + 10% tax
currency: 1 USD = Rp. 9.000

My friend really enjoyed the food in this restaurant, especially the Maeun Teokpoki. Next time, it will be my turn to come here for my lunch ;)

  1. Oh Korean food, cool! I love the variety of banchan or Korean appetizers available - half the fun is in identifying what is what!

  2. It's been a while since I last dine in for Korean food. Missing it now.

  3. LFB: Yes, it's fun in trying the taste of each banchan and also identifying them :D

little inbox: Ah.. then it's time to hit a Korean restaurant ;)

  4. The Teokpoki looks really delicious!

  5. Korean food is hardly available in Germany :(. The positive note is I can cook some Korean dishes now, but I miss the luxury of having people cook for you! It seems that Korean food is getting more popular in Indo, maybe due to Korean drama ;)??

  6. fooshionista: hi there, thanks for dropping by here ;)

CG: Oh.. true! I think I've never seen any Korean restaurant in Germany. Not only because of the Korean drama with those gorgeous Korean actors but there are also a lot of Korean expatriates in Jakarta ;)

  7. banchan is always an interesting kick start when it comes to Korean food.......

  8. Beat me with a wet noodle, I've never had the pleasure of dining on Korean food. It sure looks mighty appetizing.

    Thanks for sharing, Selba...

  9. louise: if you like hot and spicy food, you definitely will love Korean food ;)

  10. It's not Paphing Su it's PHAT BING SU 팟빙수 :D it's PHAT because it means sweet red bean in korean, but it looks more like gwail bing su (과일 빙수)? gwail means fruit :D (oh and by the way i'm indonesian too but currently live in korea)

  11. petite little lady: Ooohh.. so that's the correct words, thanks! Btw, are you studying in Korea?
